Pillers Ice Haus was the venue for this afternoon’s game at Waterloo’s
scenic Rim Park, where the Huskies took on the Wolves in the home-at-home
weekend series that delivered on its promise to be exciting. Hot off their victory the day before,
Waterloo tallied two goals in as many periods while the Huskies tried hard to
create productive momentum. Nonetheless,
their respectful efforts over the two-day schedule, including net-minding and overall
energy, were recognized as valiant by their coaches and fans, and still ended
on an uplifting note as they came millimeters shy of adding to a blue-liner’s earlier
infiltration, almost tying the current East Division leaders.
