Huskies Sweep the West Gangnam Style

The Huskies were westbound this weekend for a busy schedule, taking on three teams from the Western division in two days of frigid winter weather.  While their first opponent in Sun County held the lead for most of the game, Hamilton never let up and delivered a comeback that would eventually reverse the outcome of the game.  It was a defenseman’s walk-in on a second similar attempt that provided the game winner and momentum needed to finish strongly against the Panthers.

Readying themselves to the engaging beat of their newly adopted dressing room tune, it would take only one goal per period for the Huskies to overpower the Spitfires “Gangnam Style” and garnish their victory with a beauty from the final face-off to defeat Windsor and record their first well-earned shutout of the regular season.

In a ping pong match that had the crowd on the edge of their seats all game, Chatham-Kent and Hamilton exchanged goals for the duration of the competition as one by one the back of the net was peppered at both ends of the ice.  It was only in the final period that the Huskies took the lead for the first time, still battling a relentless Cyclones opposition, and while the officiating appeared not in their favour, the Huskies persevered to eventually drive home the winner and secure the maximum points during their weekend road trip to the West.
