Huskies Bewildered in Brantford

In a rare mid-week game, the Huskies played at Gretzky centre in anticipation of another rough game against the 99ers, whose recent exhibition game victory may have suggested a fragile advantage.  Nonetheless, it was the Huskies who drew first blood as they opened strongly with a great passing play opportunity.  It may be nearing the holiday season, but unfortunately the scoreboard lit up like a Christmas tree, mostly against the Huskies, who twice during the game had three players in the box.  Even the host team, recipients of several infraction calls as well, were somewhat surprised by the officiating that both broke the game flow as well as took away from the fans’ enjoyment, while leaving many players and coaches puzzled beyond understanding.  It was an empty netter that sealed the deal in the closing minute, but the Huskies look to come back strong this weekend with two games on home ice.
